SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 Details

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 notification for 25,487 vacancies in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) including BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. The recruitment will be conducted through a Computer-Based Examination (CBE), followed by PET, PST, Medical Test, and Document Verification.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Age Limit (as on 01–01–2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 23 years
  (Candidates born between 02-01-2003 to 01-01-2008 are eligible.)

Age Relaxation

• SC / ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• Ex-servicemen: 3 years after service deduction
• Victims of Riots (1984): 5 to 10 years (depending on category)

3. Educational Qualification

• Must have passed Matric / 10th class from a recognized board on or before 01–01–2026.

Salary

All selected candidates will receive Level-3 Pay Scale: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100.

SSC GD Selection Process

Selection will be completed in five stages:

1. Computer-Based Exam (CBE)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
3. Physical Standard Test (PST)
4. Medical Exam (DME/RME)
5. Document Verification

• 800 meters in 5 minutes (Ladakh Region)

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Height

• Male: 170 cm
• Female: 157 cm
  (Relaxations apply for specific categories.)

Chest (Male Only)

• Unexpanded: 80 cm
• Minimum expansion: 5 cm
  (Relaxations apply.)
