How To Apply DSSSB
Applications must be submitted online through the website
Only online applications will be accepted, applications sent by post, hand, or email will be rejected. Before applying, candidates must register on the DSSSB portal, which is a one-time process. The user ID and password from this registration should be used for all future applications with DSSSB. Candidates are advised to apply well before the closing date to avoid issues due to heavy website traffic.
Application Fee and Payment
The application fee is ₹100. However, women and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), and Ex-Serviceman categories are exempt from paying the fee. The fee must be paid online via SBI e-pay.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility for the posts is determined based on age, educational qualifications, and experience as per the Recruitment Rules.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 27 years old as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxation is available for certain categories, such as SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and Ex-Servicemen (period of military service plus 3 years).
- Educational Qualifications:
- Chauffeur (Post Code 53/25): The essential qualification is Matric or Higher Secondary with a driving license for light motor vehicles. Candidates who are working as a Driver in the Indian Armed Forces or Central Armed Police Forces will be given preference.
- Despatch Rider-cum-Process Server (Post Code 54/25): The essential qualification is Matric or Higher Secondary with a driving license for light motor vehicles or motor cycles.
- Experience:
- Chauffeur (Post Code 53/25): Candidates must have two years of “unblemished experience” in the line.
- Despatch Rider-cum-Process Server (Post Code 54/25): Candidates need two years of “unblemished driving experience”.
Examination Scheme and Selection
The selection process involves three stages: a Preliminary Examination (Objective Type), Skill Tests, and an Interview.
- Preliminary Examination (Stage-I): This is an objective-type exam with 50 questions for a total of 100 marks. It will be conducted in both Hindi and English and will cover topics like driving skills, road signals, road safety, and basic mechanical knowledge. There is a negative marking of 25% (0.50 marks) for each wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must score at least 50 marks (50%), while reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS and Ex-Servicemen) need to score a minimum of 45 marks (45%).
- Skill Tests (Stage-II): This stage is conducted by the Delhi High Court.
- Chauffeur: The skill test is worth 100 marks and includes a Driving Skill Test on a Simulator (50 marks) and a Driving Skill Test on the road in real traffic conditions (50 marks). Candidates must qualify in both tests.
- Despatch Rider-cum-Process Server: The skill test is worth 150 marks and consists of a Skill Test on a Scooty (75 marks) and a Skill Test on a Bike/Motorcycle (75 marks). Candidates must qualify in both tests.
- Interview (Stage-III): This stage is conducted by the Delhi High Court and is worth 15 marks. There are no minimum qualifying marks for the interview.
The final merit list will be prepared by the Delhi High Court by adding the marks from all three stages of the examination.
